Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website address is: https://mediocrelabs.net. I am Antonio Aguilar, aka Mediocre Labs.

TLDR version of the below; I haven’t changed anything from the default settings that would impact your privacy aside from using a WAF that checks data sent to this site. WordPress and the hosting provider may collect some data but I personally don’t want, or care about, your data and have no intention of collecting anything nor of selling it. I think data brokers are the scum of the Internet and have no intention of becoming one. In short, I don’t want your data. If you do submit any data to this site, as well as whatever web traffic is collected by WordPress and the hosting provider, I don’t really care about it beyond what is needed for security purposes.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site WordPress collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

I haven’t changed any of the WordPress or hosting provider’s cookie settings so whatever they’re set to, that’s what they currently are. I suggest using a privacy browser and add blocker to block most cookies.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. I (Antonio Aguilar aka Mediocre Labs) don’t share anything with anyone.

How long we retain your data

I haven’t tweaked any retention settings in WordPress at the moment, so comment data is retained as long as the default settings have it set for.

What rights you have over your data

Well, if you put your data on my site then it’s now mine. That being said, I don’t want your data and if someone submits something here but then asks for it to be deleted I’ll try my best to do so.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
